Bay Area Activities and Outings for Babies

  • For a more casual outings, we loved this scratch-off map of SF playgrounds - it’s a great way to explore other neighborhoods (we’d typically have lunch nearby after the playground)

• These activities can be awesome for socializing with other parents and adding more structure/variety to your days (especially if you are the full time caregiver)

• However, if at any point it feels like it’s more stress than fun (e.g. the timing with naps is tricky, the car ride is a pain, etc), drop it! Your child is not going to “fall behind”, plus you have the rest of their childhood to feel overscheduled ;)

• Personally, I found it much easier to commit to paid activities once my child had transitioned to one nap, otherwise there was too much unpredictability trying to squeeze it in around naps
